From an early age, I have been inspired by music and sound. Early in my career I served as a Communications Assistant for recycled-materials percussionist Donald Knaack. Our collaboration provided me with a foundational sense of pace and timing. I continue to use this skillset today while editing video and audio.

Simultaneous to my work with Knaack, I performed piano in various school jazz bands and served on the executive board of WARC Meadville, 90.3 FM. I am currently teaching myself to play the electric bass.

Being around the stage as a musician, I was introduced to directors at the Weston Playhouse and Berkshire Fringe Festival. Serving as their sound designer, I curated soundtracks, recorded foley, and operated live mixing consoles. I eventually pivoted to filmmaking in order to have more time to craft a story, but my interest in music has continued to be a benefit to my work.

Between fall 2021 and winter 2024, I Associate Produced a feature-length film about singer/songwriter Paul Simon. It was a privilege to learn more about his recording techniques.

In 2024, I am making it a goal to study more classical music. I recently compiled this playlist of classical pieces. If you thought sampling began in the 1980s, think again. Even though the work spans centuries, it's easy to hear how one artist influences another.

Voltage is an experimental art film I produced in 2015. It features original music that I composed and recorded.

Rag Tag is a piece I composed for a jazz trio in 2014. It is experimental, and incorporates several ideas into one piece.

Etude No. 6 is a jazz piece I composed during high school.

How Good's This? is a podcast I helped edit between 2017 - 2019. It is produced by Michelle Ghilotti Mandel and Josh Mandel.
